Japanese Economy Worsening

In April 2020, for the first time in nearly 11 years, the Japanese government used the word “worse” in its assessment of the economy: private consumption is “decreasing rapidly” due to the coronavirus; industrial production  and exports are decreasing; the country’s auto production and exports have slumped; the employment situation has seen “some weak movements” and the rate of decline in job offers has been accelerating since February.
